Lush Review : Cheer up Buttercup bath bomb

I saved this bath bomb for when I truly needed it the most.

For the past few weeks I have been surviving my life instead of living it. Every day I went to work then I came home to  sleep. My mood was constantly bad. For a few days, I thought that I'd have a relapse and break my 34 days streak of not pulling my hair out. But I did relapse. It was only one hair but it broke my streak, and snapped me out of it.

I needed to take a break, so I took a day off. Screw the money when my mental health is suffering.
On this day off, I finally made use of my Cheer Up Buttercup bath bomb from Lush.

The Cheer Up Buttercup is yellow in colour and it displays a few Blue Cornflower petals that float around when this bath bomb is dissolved. I love that they used yellow as a main colour for this bath bomb because yellow really is a happy colour that can cheer you up. If that's not enough to cheer you up, once dissolving the yellow layer of the bath bomb, the pink layer on the inside starts to dissolve. This turns the water into a soft orange colour, and there is no better colour than orange as a happy colour. I depend on the colour orange so much to make me feel better that I have decorated my room with orange striped walls.

A+ for colour selection of this bath bomb.

It is no surprise that the chosen scent for this bath bomb is a mix of citrus oils, mainly lemon and lime, combined together with Neroli oil for a hint of a floral scent. Neroli Oil is scientifically proven to increase serotonin production in the brain.  Neroli Oil is exactly what I needed to fight harder against my Trichotillomania since it is linked with low serotonin levels.

Although there are a number of oils in this product, they do not make the water look greasy or make your skin feel oily. As a lot of Lush products, Cheer Up Buttercup Bath bomb makes your skin feels super soft. Also, the scent lasts for hours on your skin, and in the air.

Cheer Up Buttercup has definitely done its job.

Until next time, lovelies.
